Portugal’s largest hotel group, Pestana, has chosen Mirai as its partner in order to optimize distribution and maximize direct sales potential. Following a meticulous selection process that included a number of international alternatives, Pestana is now in the process of implementing our booking engine on its corporate website.
The agreement follows a two-month trial period in two of the group’s hotels, which resulted in an average increase in web revenue of 115%.
Mirai will also connect Pestana to the principal metasearch engines and oversee its strategy in a channel that has become one of the most important sources of revenue for hotel direct sales, due to its growing contribution in terms of traffic and booking volume.
In addition, and in an effort to make the best use of our technology, our proposal to Pestana includes an ecommerce, direct sales and distribution advisory service that includes a team of account managers who will be placed at their service and who will offer guidance regarding optimising strategy and decision making, thereby strengthening our position as a strategic ally for the chain.

Our booking engine will be implemented in phases in the chain’s more than 100 establishments, which are administered under the brands Pestana Hotels & Resorts, Pestana Collection Hotels, Pestana Pousadas de Portugal and Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels, and will cover the needs of all of these, from city hotels to resorts, and including inns, palaces, castles or former convents, independently of whether these are leisure- or business – oriented.
